Mission and Vision:
Longleaf School of the Arts Mission Statement:
Longleaf School of the Arts will develop students into confident, responsible, and successful contributors in college, career, and community through mentorship and a challenging curriculum that integrates academics and the fine arts. |
Theatre Program Mission Statement:
The Longleaf Theatre Program is an accepting and supportive environment where students will feel worthy and encouraged to express their authentic selves. |
Theatre Program Vision:
To bring together students who share an interest in theatre and the performing arts, whether on the stage or behind the scenes. We promote learning about theatre through activities, field trips and performances/productions. We strive to foster an appreciation for all forms of the performing arts and to provide opportunities for artistic growth. |
“Amidst the attention given to the sciences as how they can lead to the cure of all diseases and daily problems of mankind, I believe that the biggest breakthrough will be the realization that the arts, which are conventionally considered useless, will be recognized as the whole reason why we ever try to live longer or live more prosperously.”
